IronJutsu is a workout tracker for Android. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: in the current version, your workout data stays on your phone and we don't receive it. That will change as features like accounts, friends and trainers arrive; see Future changes.
What the app stores
To track your training, IronJutsu stores the following on your device:
- Routines and exercises you create
- Workouts you log: sets, reps, weight, time, distance and calories
- App settings such as your theme and weight unit
This data is kept in a private database on your phone that other apps cannot read.
What we collect
Nothing, in the current version. IronJutsu has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting. The app does not request internet access, so it cannot send your data anywhere.
Device backups
If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include IronJutsu's data in the backup it saves to your own Google account, so your workouts can be restored on a new phone. That backup is handled by Google under your Google account settings; we have no access to it. You can turn backup off in your phone's settings.
Google Play
When you download IronJutsu, Google Play processes your download under Google's privacy policy. We may see aggregated, anonymous statistics that Google Play provides to all developers, such as install counts.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling IronJutsu, or clearing its storage in Android settings, permanently deletes all of its data from your device.
Children
IronJutsu does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
What we will never do
We will never sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone you haven't chosen to share it with. This applies to every version of IronJutsu, including future ones.
Future changes
IronJutsu is meant to grow into a social training app. Planned features include Health Connect, accounts with cloud backup, sharing progress with friends, and connecting with a personal trainer who can see your workouts and review form videos you send. These features will send some of your data to our servers and to the people you choose to share with.
Before any of them ships, we will update this policy to say exactly what is collected, where it is stored, who can see it and how to delete it. Sharing features will be opt-in: you choose whether to use them and what to share, and you can stop at any time.
